Aiyedatiwa Urges NYSC Members to Avoid Misconduct and Promote Patriotism.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has urged Corps members in the state to avoid all forms of misconduct and anti-social behaviour, emphasizing the importance of patriotism and positive contributions to society.
He made the remarks during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East.
The governor cautioned the corps members against dishonest practices, reminding them that they represent their families, institutions, and the NYSC scheme.
Speaking through the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Kuburat Omowumi Bakare, Aiyedatiwa said, “Let your actions honor your backgrounds. Remember, you are ambassadors of unity, peace, and development. Live up to this responsibility.”
He urged the corps members to approach their national service with dedication and to make meaningful impacts in their assigned communities.
Aiyedatiwa commended their active participation in paramilitary drills, leadership training, the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, and other activities during the orientation.
He encouraged them to serve with integrity and passion, applying the lessons learned to become agents of positive change in their host communities.
The governor also highlighted the importance of the SAED program, urging corps members to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities that will help them become self-reliant after their service year.
Finally, Aiyedatiwa reassured the corps members of the government’s commitment to their safety and welfare and urged them to stay vigilant throughout their service.
