Al Hilal Show Interest in Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.

Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal have expressed interest in signing Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes. However, discussions are still at an early stage and no formal negotiations have begun.

Al Hilal will participate in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S. next month and are allowed to sign players during a special early transfer window from June 1 to June 10. As they prepare for the tournament, they’ve identified Fernandes as one of several potential recruits.

Despite the interest, Manchester United are not looking to sell. Head coach Ruben Amorim considers Fernandes a vital part of the squad, calling him one of the world’s best players.

Fernandes, who turns 31 in September, signed a contract extension last year that keeps him at the club until 2027, with the option of an additional year. He joined United from Sporting CP in January 2020 in a deal worth up to £68 million.

Speaking recently, Fernandes reaffirmed his commitment to the club but acknowledged that his future could depend on the club’s direction:
I’ve always said I’ll stay until the club tells me it’s time to go. If they want to make a change or raise funds, that’s part of football. I’m here to help bring success, but you never know what the future holds.

Al Hilal’s current squad includes several former Premier League players such as Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Kalidou Koulibaly. In the Club World Cup, they’ll face Real Madrid, Pachuca, and RB Salzburg, with their opening match scheduled against Madrid in Miami on June 18.
