Arsenal Transfer News: Updates on Gyökeres, Šeško, Zubimendi, and More.

With the summer transfer window officially open, Arsenal are closing in on their first major signing and are actively pursuing multiple players to strengthen the squad.

   Striker Targets: Šeško and Gyökeres

Arsenal are currently in negotiations with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Šeško, who has become a key focus for manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta. Despite progress in talks, the competition remains fierce, with Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United also interested.

Simultaneously, Arsenal have maintained interest in Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP. Reports from Portugal indicate that a £59 million bid was rejected, with Sporting holding out for at least £67 million. Napoli are now reportedly considering meeting that valuation.

   Midfield Overhaul

In midfield, Jorginho’s departure has been confirmed. Both Fábio Vieira and   Albert Sambi Lokonga are expected to leave permanently. Arsenal are lining up  Martin Zubimendi as a replacement, with a £51 million move from Real Sociedad nearing completion.

  Winger Search and Competition

Arsenal are looking to strengthen out wide, with interest in players like Bryan Mbeumo, Nico Williams, and Rodrygo. The club is also scouting    Bradley Barcola of PSG, though he may cost upwards of £100 million. Chelsea’s move for Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund may force Arsenal to explore alternatives.

  Goalkeeper and Youth Prospects

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Joan Garcia, Espanyol’s goalkeeper, who is also attracting interest from Barcelona and Newcastle. His future remains undecided, but developments are expected soon.

  Other Notable Mentions

Hugo Ekitike has withdrawn from France’s U21 European Championship squad amid links to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly value him at £84 million.
Thomas Partey is in talks with Barcelona, although there are conflicting reports about whether a new contract with Arsenal has been agreed. Arteta reportedly still wants to retain him alongside Zubimendi.
Arsenal scouts are closely watching Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, who has expressed a desire to stay but will need to prove himself during the upcoming Club World Cup.

Arsenal are expected to be very active this summer as they look to reinforce several key positions and challenge for major honours next season.
