Nigerian Afrobeats artist Ayo Maff has achieved a major breakthrough as his debut album Prince of the Street reached the top spot on the Nigerian Apple Music Album chart.

dia, expressing deep gratitude to his mother and fans, affectionately called the “Maffians.”
“Mummy, I did it again in just one day. After everything we went through, look at your boy now. Daddy would have been so proud. Maffians, you guys are unbelievable,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Ayo Maff also shared that none of the album’s tracks were recorded in a professional studio. Instead, they were created in informal settings like bedrooms, kitchens, and living rooms highlighting his commitment to creating music despite limited resources.
“Every track on this album was recorded outside of a traditional studio. I made everything in bedrooms, kitchens, or living rooms. I documented the whole process. Let nothing hold you back greatness starts in the mind, not the location,” he added.
