Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje have arrived in Madina, Saudi Arabia, to attend the burial of prominent businessman and philanth
ropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
According to Barau’s media aide, Ismail Mudashir, the delegation landed at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday, July 1.
Dantata, a respected figure in Nigerian business and charity circles, will be laid to rest later today in Madina according to Islamic burial rites.
Other members of the delegation include Kano State APC Chairman Prince Abdullahi Abbas, Senator Muntari Dandutse (Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND), and Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ali Madaki.
Also present are Hon. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, Hon. Sani Bala, Usman Kansila, and Ahmad Dantata, the son of the late businessman.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata passed away at the age of 94. His death was announced on Saturday by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid, in a Facebook post.
“It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata,” Junaid wrote.
