Barcelona’s Predicted Lineup for Copa del Rey Final Against Real Madrid

Barcelona is set to face long-time rivals Real Madrid in a highly anticipated Copa del Rey Final at Estadio de la Cartuja in Seville, with hopes of moving a step closer to a historic third treble.

Given their strong performances in previous meetings this season and solid form in 2025, Barcelona heads into the match as favorites. However, the unpredictable nature of El Clásico and Madrid’s determination to salvage their season make this a high-stakes clash.

  Defense
Coach Hansi Flick rested several key players midweek against Mallorca, ensuring a fresh squad for the final. With Alejandro Balde and Robert Lewandowski ruled out due to injury, the defensive lineup is likely to include Wojciech Szczesny in goal, Jules Koundé at right-back, Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez in central defense, and Gerard Martín expected to start at left-back over Héctor Fort.

  Midfield
The midfield trio is expected to feature Frenkie de Jong and Pedri as a double pivot, with Dani Olmo in the attacking midfield role. Though Gavi and Fermín López have been impressive, they are likely to serve as impactful substitutes.

  Attack
With Lewandowski sidelined, Ferran Torres is expected to lead the attack. Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, both consistent in big matches, will likely play on the wings and carry much of the attacking responsibility.

  Predicted Starting XI (4-2-3-1)
Szczesny; Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Martín; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Olmo, Raphinha; Ferran Torres

This match could define Barcelona’s season, and Flick’s choices will be key in one of football’s fiercest rivalries.
