Ben Murray-Bruce Predicts World War III, Says Nigeria Will Remain Unaffected.
Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of Silverbird Group and former senator, has
warned that a global conflict—World War III—is likely, citing rising global violence, the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and the presence of aggressive world leaders.
In a recent interview, Murray-Bruce expressed concern over global instability, stating that the impending war could cause massive destruction across much of the world. However, he believes Africa—particularly Nigeria—will be largely spared.
According to him, Nigeria’s neutral stance, absence of nuclear ambitions, and peaceful diplomacy would protect it from the worst of the conflict.
“We’re in serious trouble globally,” he said. “But Africa, and especially Nigeria, will be safe. We don’t have nuclear weapons or territorial ambitions. We’re not looking for conflict and we maintain good relations with our neighbors.”
He added that Nigeria could become a refuge for people displaced by war, saying the country would be open to welcoming Americans, Israelis, Iranians, and others affected by the conflict. He emphasized the need to treat them with dignity, albeit within regulated immigration processes.
Murray-Bruce blamed escalating global tensions on poor leadership. “There are too many reckless leaders in power. As long as such individuals are elected, wars like this are inevitable. It’s not the people who cause wars—it’s the leaders.”
His comments come amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel.
