iolence played a role in her separation from her ex-husband, Seyi Akinrinde, with whom she shares a son.

In a recent Instagram post, Biola addressed ongoing public speculation, firmly stating that no form of physical abuse occurred during their marriage.

“We never—absolutely never—experienced any physical abuse or violence. Seyi never laid a hand on me, and I never did either,” she wrote.

The couple officially parted ways in April 2024. While the news came as a surprise to many, Biola emphasized that the decision was made with mutual respect and a shared commitment to co-parent their child.

She acknowledged the emotional difficulty of the separation, sharing that despite her cheerful public image, she has silently endured personal struggles.

The actress urged the public to be more understanding when discussing people’s private lives. “Let us learn to be kind. You never know what someone is going through until they choose to share it,” she said.

Biola and Seyi’s separation comes less than two years after the birth of their son—a child she welcomed in her 40s after multiple failed IVF and surrogacy attempts. She previously opened up about her challenging journey to motherhood, including a failed IVF, one cancelled surrogate cycle, and three unsuccessful surrogate attempts before finally welcoming her child.
