EFCC Arrests 120 Suspected Internet Fraudsters, Seizes 26 Vehicles in Lagos.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 120 individuals in Lagos State for their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

In a statement released on Monday via the commission’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the EFCC revealed that the arrests were made by operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1. The coordinated operation was conducted across multiple locations in the state.

During the raids, the agency recovered 26 luxury vehicles, high-end jewelry, mobile phones, laptops, and various documents believed to be linked to fraudulent activities.

Among those arrested were 95 men and 25 women. The EFCC stated that the suspects were identified through credible intelligence and sustained surveillance operations.

All individuals are currently under investigation and will face prosecution once inquiries are concluded.
