EFCC Arrests 34 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ekiti.


In a major crackdown on cybercrime, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 34 individuals suspected of internet fr

aud in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, during coordinated raids in the Iworoko and Ijado areas. The operation was carried out by operatives from the Ibadan Zonal Office of the EFCC following credible intelligence on the group’s activities.

According to a statement released by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, items recovered during the arrests include 11 luxury vehicles, numerous laptops, several mobile phones, and documents believed to be linked to fraudulent transactions.

The commission confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of the process.

This development highlights the EFCC’s continued efforts to combat cybercrime and hold perpetrators accountable under Nigerian law.
