EFCC Interrogates Abuja Businesswoman Over Alleged Appointment and Contract Scam.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Comm

ission (EFCC) has questioned an Abuja-based entrepreneur, Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, over allegations that she was involved in a fraudulent scheme offering fake federal appointments and government contracts.

Tejuosho, identified as the founder of   Haleems Integrated Services Limited, reportedly came under investigation after multiple victims accused her of defrauding them under false pretenses. According to the allegations, she promised high-level government roles and lucrative contracts in exchange for money.

Chief Tolu Babaleye, the legal representative for one of the alleged victims, claimed that Tejuosho used forged documents and counterfeit appointment letters as part of an elaborate scam. He further alleged that she falsely claimed to be an aide to National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to make her offers appear legitimate.

“She has been recommended for prosecution on charges including Advance Fee Fraud, Criminal Diversion of Funds, Criminal Breach of Trust, and Cheating,” Babaleye stated.

It was also alleged that Tejuosho leveraged her humanitarian and NGO affiliations to build trust with her targets and mask her intentions.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that Tejuosho was invited for questioning and has since been released on administrative bail under strict conditions. He added that the investigation is ongoing, and formal charges may follow in the coming weeks.

The commission also called on other possible victims to come forward, reaffirming its commitment to tackling all forms of financial fraud and abuse.
