Emotional Moment as Sola Sobowale Kneels to Thank Adebayo Salami for His Impact on Her Career.
Actress Sola Sobowale publicly knelt to express deep gratitude to veteran actor Adebayo Salami, known as Oga Bello, for his decades of mentorship and support in Nollywood.

he heartfelt moment occurred on Sunday, June 29, during the premiere of Salami’s new film Her Excellency, which celebrates his 60 years in the film industry. The movie is set for theatrical release on Friday, July 4.
On stage, Sobowale praised Salami as a selfless figure who profoundly influenced her life and career.
“God used him to take me where I am today. I have never done this before, but I’m doing it now,” she said as she knelt.
She added, “Thank you very much. You have touched many lives—men, women, young, and old alike. You are a man of action and substance, a true giver.”
Sobowale also acknowledged Salami’s support for Mama Wale, saying, “You supported him, and that is why he stands strong today. You will enjoy the fruits of your labor.”
Sharing the video of the moment on Instagram, Salami’s son and actor Femi Adebayo described it as a sincere act of gratitude and respect for his father’s lasting legacy in Nollywood.
Her Excellency features a talented cast including Femi Adebayo, Sola Sobowale, Odunlade Adekola, Faithia Williams, and others, and will premiere in cinemas on July 4.
