Family of Four Killed by Gunmen in Anambra.

A tragic incident occurred in Isseke, located in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, where unknown gunmen killed four members of a family—three women and an elderly man—while they slept in their home.

According to reports, the attackers entered the victims’ residence at night and fatally assaulted them, leaving their bodies in the rooms. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but witnesses stated the assault appeared unprovoked.

The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident through its spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who identified the victims as the family of Ichie Kennedy Igboanugo, a resident of Ekwuru Isseke.

Police and other security forces have secured the area and recovered the victims’ bodies, which have been taken to the morgue. Investigations are ongoing, and the authorities say they are following leads to apprehend those responsible.

The police have expressed condolences to the victims’ family and friends, assuring the public that efforts are being made to prevent further violence and ensure justice.
