The Federal Government has announced that Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, will be public holidays in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
This declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo extended warm Easter greetings to Christians nationwide and encouraged reflection on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and love for humanity.
In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister urged Nigerians to embrace the virtues exemplified by Jesus and to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country during the holiday period.
He also reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at advancing national development.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo called on citizens to show compassion and generosity to one another and wished all Christians a joyful Easter celebration while extending season’s greetings to all Nigerians.
