ICPC Urges Students to Report Corruption in Their Environment.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has encouraged students of Federal Government College (FGC), Malali-Kaduna, to take an active role in combating corruption by reporting any corrupt practices they observe.
During a recent sensitization program held at the school by ICPC officers from the Kaduna State office, Assistant Chief Superintendent Halliru Basheer Aliyu urged students to be courageous and proactive in exposing wrongdoing. He advised them to report cases of corruption to their teachers, the school’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) president, or directly to the ICPC.
Aliyu emphasized the importance of integrity, urging students to act rightly even when no one is watching. He noted that even small acts like lateness to school can be considered forms of corruption.
He further encouraged students to uphold values such as honesty, fairness, justice, transparency, and accountability in their everyday lives.
The school’s Vice Principal, Sheik Sani Usman, expressed appreciation to the ICPC for educating the students. He pledged the school’s full support in the fight against corruption and reminded students to live by ethical standards and avoid any form of misconduct.
