The fourth edition of Insurance Meets Tech (IMT), a majo
r West African conference highlighting the intersection of insurance and technology, is set to take place in September 2025.
This year’s event, themed “Innovating for the New Trybe,” aims to bring together leaders from finance, technology, and the creative industries to explore how digital innovation is reshaping insurance and the future of Africa’s economy.
The keynote speaker will be Per Lagerström, a global expert in insurtech and behavioural science. With over three decades of experience in financial services, technology, and consulting including a previous role as Partner at McKinsey & Company Lagerström is the founder of BehaviorTech, which combines behavioural science with AI to drive transformative innovation. He currently serves as CEO of Yellowspot, an Ireland-based venture studio focused on digital transformation in areas such as financial education and longevity.
Odion Aleobua, IMT Convener and CEO of Modion Communications, welcomed the development, noting that Lagerström’s insights align with the conference’s mission to explore the future of insurance through technology and human-centred innovation.
