Kachikwu Accuses Mark’s ADC Faction of Backing Atiku for 2027 Presidency.

Dumebi Kachikwu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has alleged that the faction of the party led by former Sena

te President David Mark is being organized to support former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its 2027 presidential candidate.

Speaking with reporters in Abuja on Thursday, Kachikwu claimed that during a meeting with the coalition leaders, they made it clear that their main objective was to regain political power.

He challenged the coalition to refute his claim by officially declaring that the 2027 presidential ticket would be zoned to the South.

“The coalition was deliberately structured to pave the way for Atiku Abubakar as their presidential candidate,” Kachikwu said. “If that’s not the case, let them publicly commit to giving the ticket to a Southerner.”

He emphasized that their rhetoric during the meeting was solely focused on returning to power.

Further details are expected soon.
