Kim Kardashian Completes Six-Year Legal Apprenticeship Program.

Kim Kardashian has officially completed her legal studies after six years through California’s Law Office Study Program, which allows aspiring lawyers to train under a practicing attorney instead of attending traditional law school.

Kardashian marked the milestone with a private backyard graduation ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Her mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, spoke at the event, commending Kardashian’s commitment: “Kim started this program with no formal law school experience—just determination and a pile of casebooks. She dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, totaling over 5,000 hours of study.”

In 2019, Kardashian revealed she had enrolled with the State Bar of California in 2018 to begin a four-year legal apprenticeship. California is one of the few states—along with Vermont, Virginia, and Washington—that permits individuals to pursue legal education without attending law school.

In 2021, Kardashian passed the First-Year Law Students’ Examination, commonly known as the “baby bar,” on her fourth attempt. She is now eligible to sit for the full California bar exam, moving closer to following in the footsteps of her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian.

Alongside her studies, Kardashian has also been active in prison reform advocacy, helping to secure the release of individuals like Alice Marie Johnson, who was granted clemency in 2018 after serving over two decades for a non-violent drug offense.
