Lalude discusses strained relationship with Sola Sobowale.
Veteran actor Fatai Adetayo Lalude has opened up about a tense relationship with actress Sola Sobowale, recounting a recent experience that left him feeling hurt.
In a recent podcast interview, Lalude revealed that Sola attended a show where he was present but did not greet him, despite being aware of his presence.
He also shared how they first met, explaining that Sola was introduced to him by Ngozi early in her acting career.
Reflecting on the incident, Lalude expressed surprise at her behaviour, especially given their shared history. He recalled, “She did something that hurt me once. I was at Olayemi Olayinka’s show and heard that Sola Sobowale was there. She knew I was around but didn’t come to say hello. She’s not even older than me. When we worked on Uncle Jide Kosoko’s play ‘Ogun Awoyaya’ at the National Theatre, Ngozi brought her to me as she was starting out in she did that day caught me off guard. Even though she lives abroad, she’s not truly wealthy. We were there with Yinka, and she went on stage and left without acknowledging me. That’s what really hurt,” he said.
