North-Central APC Reaffirms Support for Tinubu, Ganduje Ahead of 2027 Elections.
The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu and APC Nati
onal Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. This comes after recent developments during the party’s North-East stakeholders’ meeting in Gombe State on Sunday.
In a statement signed by Forum Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, the group emphasized its commitment to the party’s unity and reaffirmed Tinubu as the APC’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
The forum also made it clear that the selection of a running mate is solely the president’s prerogative. “No one can dictate who the Vice President should be. It is the president’s choice to pick someone he trusts and can work with,” the statement said.
Addressing the incident that disrupted the Gombe meeting, the forum described it as unfortunate but isolated. It called on party members to remain calm and focused, stressing that such events should not distract from the progress made under the current leadership.
The group praised Ganduje’s role in maintaining party neutrality and internal stability, describing him as a leader committed to upholding constitutional values and party unity.
Highlighting the region’s contribution to the APC’s 2023 electoral success, the forum noted that the North-Central delivered over 1.7 million votes for the party. It also pledged to mobilize six million votes for the APC in the 2027 elections.
“The APC remains strong and united under the leadership of President Tinubu and Alhaji Ganduje. We urge members to avoid actions that could cause division or derail the leadership from its work for the party and the nation,” the forum concluded.
