Stanbic IBTC Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division recently hosted its CIB Trade Customer Forum, gathering industry leaders, key clients, and regul

The forum, held on June 20, 2025, centered on the theme “Trade Policy and Regulatory Framework in Nigeria: Recent Development and Implications.”
This event highlights Stanbic IBTC Bank’s dedication to fostering collaboration that promotes growth and innovation in the industry. It brought together major trade clients alongside senior representatives from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), encouraging cross-sector dialogue.
Eric Fajemisin, Executive Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Stanbic IBTC, said the forum demonstrates the bank’s commitment to industry leadership by creating a space for knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships.
Jesuseun Fatoyinbo, Head of Transaction Banking, added that the forum reflects the bank’s focus on building strong partnerships in trade finance. She emphasized that open communication between regulators and industry leaders equips clients to better navigate changes in the sector. Stanbic IBTC remains focused on fostering innovation and collaboration to enhance services and strengthen the trade finance ecosystem for sustainable growth in Nigeria.
The success of the forum positions Stanbic IBTC Bank as a leading voice in Nigeria’s trade finance industry and sets a new benchmark for stakeholder engagement.
Building on this momentum, the bank plans to make the forum an annual event, continuing to provide a platform for industry leaders to connect, share knowledge, and promote sustainable development in Nigeria’s trade finance landscape.
