Student Scores 365 in UTME, Seeks Scholarship to Study Civil Engineering.
Orji Nnanna Kalu, a high-performing Nigerian student, is appealing for a scholarship to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering after scoring 365 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matri
culation Examination (UTME).
Orji, who plans to study at Nile Universit, achieved standout scores in his UTME subjects:
English Language: 72
Mathematics: 98
Physics: 98
Chemistry: 97
This performance places him among the top scorers nationwide.
His older brother, Excel Kalu, made a public appeal to individuals, philanthropic organizations, and companies to help support Orji’s academic journey.
“He is exceptionally gifted and has remained academically strong despite various challenges. His UTME result is even more impressive considering the generally poor performance across the country this year,” Excel noted.
Orji’s academic excellence extends beyond UTME. In the 2024 WASSCE, he earned distinctions in:
Data Processing
Mathematics
Chemistry
Civic Education
Computer Science
Technical Drawing
He also received high grades in English (B2), Geography (B2), and another B3 in Civic Education.
In the **NECO examinations**, Orji scored distinctions in all subjects except Data Processing, where he earned a B2.
A former **Head Boy at Lordswill Academy, Gwarinpa, Abuja**, Orji is recognized for his discipline and academic focus. His brother emphasized that those wishing to verify his achievements can contact the school directly.
“With his outstanding scores, he is highly likely to secure admission. All he needs now is the financial support to make his dream a reality,” Excel added.
