Submissions Open for School for Activism 2025 in Kosovo.

The Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF), in collaboration with Community Building Mitrovica (CBM), is now accepting applications for the fourth edition of the    School for Activism. This initiative, part of the Civil Society Resource Center, aims to strengthen the effectiveness and impact of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Kosovo.

    About the Program

The School for Activism is an annual capacity-building program that selects 20 CSOs to participate in six intensive two-day training modules. These sessions focus on key areas essential to organizational growth, citizen engagement, and influence in policymaking through participatory advocacy.

Organizations that complete the program will receive expert mentoring tailored to their strategic goals and be integrated into sector-specific and thematic civil society networks, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange across Kosovo.

    Key Focus Areas

The 2025 program includes six modules covering:

      Internal Governance for CSOs
      Gender Mainstreaming
      Impact Assessment and Fundraising
      Diversifying Financial Resources
      Participatory Advocacy
      Community Mobilization Techniques

    Benefits for Participants

Participating organizations will:

  Gain a deeper understanding of internal governance and strategy development.
  Learn to integrate gender considerations in operations and outreach.
  Improve fundraising, planning, and project execution capabilities.
  Enhance their ability to engage in decision-making processes at both local and national levels.
  Apply effective community mobilization methods.

In addition, organizations will receive:

  Ongoing mentoring to support their specific development needs.
  Opportunities to network and collaborate with other CSOs on advocacy and community initiatives.

     Covered Costs

   All training sessions and mentoring are provided at no cost.
  Travel expenses will be reimbursed for participants coming from outside Pristina.

    Eligibility

  Open to all registered or operating CSOs in Kosovo.
  Each organization must nominate 2 to 6 team members based on their roles and responsibilities.

   Selection Criteria

  Must be a registered CSO in Kosovo.
  Demonstrates a commitment to citizen involvement.
  Submits a complete and thorough application.
   Team members proposed are active in relevant organizational areas.
  Participation aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
  Shows clear intent to apply lessons learned to community engagement.
  Displays readiness to strengthen organizational capacity.
