Tinubu Arrives in Kaduna to Commission Projects.
President Bola Tinubu arrived in Kaduna
State on Thursday, June 19, 2025, as part of a three-state working tour. His aircraft, a Boeing 737, landed at the Military Airport in Mando at 1:27 p.m. local time.
He was welcomed by several dignitaries, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; and the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli. Other state governors and senior officials were also present to receive him.
Tinubu’s one-day visit includes the commissioning of several key projects: the Institute of Skill Acquisition and Development at Riga Chukun, a 300-bed Specialist Hospital at Millennium , and the launch of 100 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses for public transportation within the city.
He will later be honored with a reception at Murtala Square.
This trip, originally scheduled for Wednesday, follows his recent visit to Benue State, which has been affected by a wave of violent attacks.
In preparation for the visit, security was heightened across Kaduna city, and temporary traffic restrictions were implemented on Kawo Bridge and Independence Way from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
President Tinubu is expected to continue his tour with a visit to Nasarawa State in the coming days.
