President Bola Tinubu has said that the All Progr
essives Congress (APC) is open to welcoming Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), should he decide to join the party.
Speaking during the commissioning of Arterial Road N16 to N20 and other road projects in the Katampe District of Abuja on Wednesday, Tinubu acknowledged that Wike is not yet a member of the APC but praised his efforts in delivering the infrastructure projects.
We have someone like Nyesom Wike—he’s not in our party yet, but the day he decides to register with the progressives, we will gladly receive him,” Tinubu said.
The president highlighted the significance of the completed roads as a reflection of his administration’s development agenda, which he said is based on reform and regeneration. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure to economic growth and national development.
Infrastructure is essential—it’s the foundation for economic progress and national unity. Our focus is on roads, renewable energy, healthcare, education, and digital systems. This is how we will unlock Nigeria’s full potential,” he stated.
