1.   Security Forces Deployed to Benue.
   A joint security team, including intelligence agencies, police, and military units, has been sent to Benue State to combat rising violen

ce and terrorist activities across several local government areas.

2.   Emefiele Granted ₦2 Billion Bail.
   A Federal Capital Territory High Court granted former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele bail of ₦2 billion. He faces eight charges, including the illegal acquisition of a 753-unit housing estate and diverting billions of naira through proxy accounts.

3.   EFCC Arraigns Businessman Over ₦13.8bn Fraud.
   Precious Williams, linked to Glossalalia Nigeria Ltd and Pelenged Nigeria Ltd, was arraigned in Port Harcourt on a 14-count charge. Allegations include conspiracy, fraud, and laundering ₦13.8 billion.

4.   Tinubu Cancels Kaduna Visit, Heads to Benue.
   President Bola Tinubu has postponed his planned visit to Kaduna and will instead travel to Benue on June 18 to address the ongoing security crisis directly with community leaders and stakeholders.

5.   Defence Chief Warns of Insider Complicity in Benue Killings.
   General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, suspects that locals in Benue may be leaking information to attackers. He raised the concern during an on-site assessment of recent violence in the state.

6.   Farmer Murdered by Workers in Edo.
   A 56-year-old farmer, Henry Oyagbomwan, was killed by five of his employees after selling ₦900,000 worth of pineapple produce. The suspects reportedly buried him in a shallow grave and fled.

7.   Fresh Attack in Enugu Leaves Over 10 Dead.
   Suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked Aguamede in Enugu State’s Isi-Uzo LGA, killing more than 10 people. Locals believe the attackers may have been airlifted into the area by a helicopter seen earlier that day.

8.   Fuel Retailers Oppose Dangote’s Direct Distribution Plan.
   PETROAN, a body of fuel station owners, has criticized Dangote Refinery’s proposed plan to sell fuel directly to retailers and businesses. They warn it could result in widespread job losses and create a monopoly.

9.   Boy Accidentally Kills Police Father in Anambra.
   A tragic incident occurred in Awka, Anambra State, where a 10-year-old boy accidentally shot his father, a police inspector, with an AK-47. The officer’s second son was also injured in the process.

10.   Court Denies Arrest Warrant for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
    The Federal High Court in Abuja declined the government’s request to issue an arrest warrant for suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan after she missed a court appearance in a defamation case.
