Yahaya Bello Not Planning 2027 Presidential Run — Aide.
The media office of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has dismissed claims that he intends to run for president in 2027. In a statement released Friday, his media aide, Ohiare Michael, clarified that Bello is not pursuing any presidential ambition and remains committed to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
Michael criticized recent social media posts suggesting Bello’s involvement in a 2027 campaign, describing them as misleading and deliberately deceptive. He accused those responsible of spreading recycled images from a 2022 rally to create a false narrative.
He urged Nigerians to disregard such claims, emphasizing that Bello’s focus is on backing Tinubu, who he believes deserves another term due to his performance amid global challenges.
